Summary

UX and product design leader with 20+ years building teams and products across fintech, energy, and connected hardware, in Latin America, North America, and Europe. I lead multicultural, remote design teams through complex, regulated, high-stakes domains — critical infrastructure, financial services, IoT — where the users are experts and the constraints are real. Track record of turning ambiguous, cross-functional problems into measured outcomes: a 519% jump in weekly card applications inside a 30-day launch window, year-long onboarding cut to three months, a 600-component design system serving 500+ branded environments. Outside client work, I scaled Calgary UX from 900 to 4,600+ members and built the training framework behind IncluCity Calgary, Calgary's first nonprofit for inclusive usability testing.

Experience

Lead UX Designer, Technology and Innovation Lab — Enbridge

April 2021 – Present

  • Lead UX across six engineering projects spanning leak detection, deadleg monitoring, and corrosion on critical energy infrastructure.
  • Design monitoring and data-entry tools for three functionally distinct response groups — control centre operators, leak detection analysts, and field technicians — after early sessions surfaced that each group used different terminology and process for the same event; now set aside dedicated time to reconcile vocabulary at every project stage.
  • Own data readiness: designing error prevention into monitoring tools so operational data is reliable enough to build on downstream.

UX Design Lead — Paysafe Group

January 2018 – April 2021

  • Led a 30-day redesign of Skrill's prepaid Mastercard application for the Italian market, delivered over the holidays during a company-wide code freeze; removed a blocking deposit requirement and cut a 33-step flow by roughly 30%. Delivered 25,000+ applications and 16,000+ activations and broke even at €400,000 — all three launch targets met, with weekly applications up 519% year over year and NPS rising from 32 to 52.
  • Led UX for Income Access, a white-label affiliate marketing platform serving 500+ branded operator environments across five distributed teams (Montreal, Varna); built a 600+ component design system on Atomic Design principles, scoped by usage analytics, and closed WCAG contrast failures baked into operator branding. Raised affiliate signup success to 29%.
  • Grew Neteller registration 38% through progressive onboarding, expanded remittance to 12 countries, and led UX for Neteller's first crypto exchange capability.

Lead UX Designer — DocBoss

May 2016 – October 2017

  • Ran a 106-respondent survey across EPC and supplier organizations that reframed the product's information architecture around user goals; cut new document-controller onboarding from roughly a year to three months.
  • Delivered information architecture for two additional products alongside the flagship redesign.

Senior UX Designer — Oildex

July 2015 – April 2016

  • Design lead on the Field Ticket application, replacing a paper process that left a 22-day average gap between service delivery and invoicing with a cloud-based mobile and web workflow.
  • Built procurement-to-pay workflows and the design system underneath them, validated through field testing in Texas with four roles that had never worked from a shared view of the process before.

UX Designer III — ADP

March 2015 – June 2015

User Experience Lead — MyMobileCoverage

August 2013 – January 2015

  • Led UX and industrial design for network-coverage survey hardware and reporting tools — survey backpacks, in-store kiosks, vehicle-mounted units, and a wearable voice-quality tester — used by Sprint, Nextel Mexico, Verizon, Airhob, AT&T Bolivia, and Colombia's Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications.

Owner / Principal Designer — Sensed Solutions

September 2011 – Present

Independent studio delivering senior UX/UI and product design for clients who need a small senior team rather than an agency, run alongside employed roles. Selected engagements:

  • MYLE Electronics Corp (2014–2015) — design strategy, UX, and manufacturing input for a wearable voice-memo device; crowdfunding campaign raised $152,875 against a $50,000 goal.
  • Sens-Net Canada / OnGuard (2016–2018) — physical and digital product design for a lone-worker safety platform, now FirstNet Verified and still running a decade later across mining, utilities, hospitality, and transportation.

Leadership and community

Executive Director — Calgary UX

December 2019 – Present

  • Grew membership from 900 to 4,600+ over six years; ran 250 events and trained and managed 200 volunteers, with a 12-person core leadership team.
  • Built partnerships with Figma, Adobe, Unity, Platform Calgary, Mount Royal University, SAIT, and the University of Calgary.

Co-founder and Director — IncluCity Calgary

October 2021 – Present

  • Co-founded Calgary's first nonprofit dedicated to inclusive usability testing; designed the training framework and built four research teams delivering work for the City of Calgary, YW Calgary, and Chic Geek.

Co-founder — MegaTech Calgary

December 2023 – Present

  • Unified eight previously siloed Calgary tech communities under one umbrella event; the flagship edition, planned for 150 people, drew 470+ registrants and became the annual Tech Opportunity Fest.
